Akiva Sturm - NYC Marathon 2024

Dear Friends and Family ,

I am excited to share that I have officially joined Team Sharsheret for the 2024 TCS NYC Marathon. Now, a marathon is no easy feat, but I am excited to train and run it in support of Sharsheret. For those who are not yet familiar, Sharsheret is a national nonprofit organization supporting women and families, at high risk for and those actively facing breast and ovarian cancer at every stage-before, during, and after diagnosis.

Running for Sharsheret is particularly meaningful for me, because I personally know a number of people who experienced breast cancer, and received critical support from Sharsheret. As I continually heard about the wonderful resource Shasheret is for many thousands of people, locally and nationally, I wondered how I could make a difference? For all those who know me, you know that I absolutely love running. So the chance to take my running "game" to a new level, through Team Sharsheret, seemed like the pefect opportunity.

As a member of this incredible Team, I have pledged to raise funds in support of Sharsheret's breast cancer and ovarian cancer programs and services. I am asking you to please support me in my athletic and fundraising efforts as I take on this challenge.
