This year I will be running my 3rd NYC Half Marathon and I'm honored to be joining the Sharsheret team. Sharsheret, meaning chain in Hebrew, is the only national organization supporting Jewish women and families of all backgrounds, facing breast and ovarian cancer - those who are diagnosed and those at high risk.
In January 2019 I learned that I am BRCA 2+, and subsequently underwent a prophylactic double mastectomy in March 2022. Sharsheret has helped so many women like me.
To date, Sharsheret has served more than 275,000 men, women, families, health care professionals, community leaders, and students from all 50 states. Sharsheret improves lives through clinical support and saves lives through educational programming. Sharsheret offers tailored resources, information, and support to caregivers, family members, and friends of women facing breast and ovarian cancer to guide them through the cancer journey.
