Dear Friends and Family,
I am excited to share that I will be running in the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half as an official member of Team Sharsheret
Sharsheret is a national nonprofit organization that supports women and families at high risk for, or facing, breast and ovarian cancer—before, during, and after diagnosis.
I have seen firsthand the incredible work that Sharsheret does. As many of you know, in 2022 my grandfather (Pa) was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and passed away shortly after. Following his passing, our family was advised to undergo genetic testing for the BRCA2 gene. In 2023, my aunt’s test came back positive, and she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Later that year, my own test also came back positive. I am extremely grateful for the support Sharsheret has provided—and continues to provide—to my family.
I never would have imagined myself becoming a runner, but last year my cousin Juliana and I decided to run the Cherry Blossom 10-Miler in memory of Pa, and we recently completed our first half marathon together. And now, here we are! I am honored to be part of Team Sharsheret, and I couldn’t be more excited to take on this challenge alongside Juliana and Maya.
As a member of this incredible Team, I have pledged to raise funds (which I hope to greatly exceed!) in support of Sharsheret's breast cancer and ovarian cancer programs and services.
