Hi everyone!
I am so excited and honored to run with team Sharsheret for the United Airlines Half Marathon in March 2024! Running has been part of my life for a very long time, but Sharsheret has been there even longer. When my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, Sharsheret was there every step of the way to support my mother and our family through that tough time. Following my grandmother and great grandmother passing from ovarian cancer, to my mother fighting her way to remission, we wanted to find a way to bring support for others going through cancer as well. So they began to give back in the Sussman (my mother’s family) way: bringing it back to the kitchen. They started pies for prevention which was raised over hundreds of thousands of dollars for ovarian cancer support. While I may not be a boss in the kitchen like they are, I would like to give back in what I do best: running. Any amount given can make a huge difference in the lives of anyone in need!
