Dear Friends and Family,
I’m so excited to share that I am officially a member of Team Sharsheret for the 2027 Donna Half Marathon! I’ve already started training, and while taking on a half marathon is definitely a challenge, I’m even more excited to have a meaningful reason behind every mile.
I’m running in support of Sharsheret, a national Jewish organization that provides critical support and resources to women and families facing breast and ovarian cancer, as well as those at increased risk.
Sharsheret is especially meaningful to me because I’ve supported it for years through Alpha Epsilon Phi, where it was one of our national philanthropies. It’s an organization I first learned about in college, and I’ve continued to feel connected to its mission ever since.
My Jewish identity and involvement in the Jewish community are a big part of why this work matters to me. There’s something especially meaningful about supporting an organization that understands the unique needs of Jewish families, particularly because breast and ovarian cancer disproportionately impact the Ashkenazi Jewish community. Breast cancer has also impacted my own family, which makes this cause feel very close to home.
I'm excited to take on this challenge while continuing to support an organization that has been meaningful to me for years. As a member of Team Sharsheret, I’ve committed to raising funds to support their breast and ovarian cancer programs and services — and I’m hoping to greatly exceed my fundraising goal!
I would be so grateful if you would consider supporting me, whether through a donation, sharing my fundraising page, or cheering me on as I work toward 13.1 miles. Every bit of support means so much to me and helps Sharsheret continue to be there for the women and families who need it.
Thank you for supporting me, Team Sharsheret, and a cause that means so much!
With love,
Jamie
