Dear Friends and Family ,
I am so so so excited to share with you that I am an official member of Team Sharsheret for the 2022 TCS NYC Marathon. You might be thinking to yourself, is Jeremy actually going to run a marathon? Doesn't he usually just marathon watch tv? The answer to both is yes! Your favorite not quite grilling influencer will be running the NYC marathon for this super amazing organization. I have run in single digit temperatures all winter training for this run and now just ask for your financial support as I continue training. Want to go on a run with me to see that I'm not kidding? Feel free to slide into my DMs and we can run together. Need more incentive to donate than just knowing I will suffer through the very hilly NYC marathon course? How about a signed finish line picture by yours truly.
Those of you who know me, which is probably everyone reading this page knows that I don't do things at less than 100% and if it isn't something I truly believe in. You can continue reading below but rest assured knowing that your very generous donation is going to an incredible cause that has helped thousands of people through their cancer journey. Not sure how much to give? I'd recommend adding an extra zero just before the decimal point, I'm not a tax specialist but they say this is good for your taxes. Also those who add that extra zero may get a special instagram shout out on race day.
I have already began to train for my race, and am inspired to undertake this rigorous challenge as I am doing it in support of Sharsheret , a national not-for-profit organization supporting women and families, at high risk and those facing breast and ovarian cancer at every stage-before, during, and after diagnosis.
It is particularly meaningful for me to race on behalf of Sharsheret because of the support they have provided for friends who were touched by breast cancer and ovarian cancer. Sharsheret was the only organization that provided the vital culturally relevant support they were desperately seeking. As I continually hear about the wonderful resource Shasheret is for many friends and thousands of others locally and nationally , I wonder how I could do more. How can I make a difference? By taking on this personal challenge and joining with the other members of Team Sharsheret I have found my answer.
As a member of this incredible Team, I have pledged to raise funds (which I hope to greatly exceed!) in support of Sharsheret's breast cancer and ovarian cancer programs and services. I am asking you to please support me in my athletic and fundraising efforts as I take on this challenge, ask for corporate matching for your gift too! All contributions are tax-deductible.
