Nearly twelve years ago, we lost my mother Marsha to ovarian cancer. In 2013, my sister and wife learned about Sharsheret and the important work they do providing support and education to families grappling with the impact of ovarian and breast cancer as well as providing education to the Jewish community. They ran the NYC marathon for Sharsheret together that year and six years later, after I discovered my own love of running, I followed suit.
I am honored to be part of Team Sharsheret again for the 2023 Chicago Marathon. Whether you supported my efforts before or are doing it for the first time this year, thank you! My participation is dedicated to the memory of my mother and all those in my life who have been touched by breast or ovarian cancer.
