Last year, I was disappointed that I broke my foot before I could complete the NY Half Marathon so I'm pleased to be able to run this year! While I reached my fundraising goal last year, any additional contributions are appreciated.
Raising money for this cause is particularly important for me for a multitude of reasons. My mother, Stephanie Lawrence, is a breast cancer survivor who has been in remission for nearly 20 years. Our family was in the middle of a move to a new state during her treatment and we would have not been able to get through this difficult time and transition without the support of organizations that partner with Sharsheret. As a vocal and active member of the Jewish community, I have been intent in directing many of my philanthropic efforts towards Jewish organizations.
