Dear Friends and Family,
I’m excited to share that I will be running the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half as an official member of Team Sharsheret.
Sharsheret is a national nonprofit organization that supports women and families at high risk for, or facing, breast and ovarian cancer—before, during, and after diagnosis.
I have seen firsthand the incredible work Sharsheret does. As many of you know, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023. I am deeply grateful for the support Sharsheret provided her throughout her diagnosis and treatment, and continues to provide today (now cancer-free!).
My running journey actually began in 2023 in NYC while I was visiting my parents as my mom underwent surgery and chemotherapy. It gained momentum when I ran the Cherry Blossom 10-Miler with my cousin Emma in memory of our grandfather. Recently, we completed our first half marathon together. Two weeks later, my mom sent us the link to sign up with Team Sharsheret—and here we are.
I’m honored to be part of this team and even more excited to be running alongside Emma and my sister Maya.
As a member of Team Sharsheret, I have pledged to raise funds (which I hope to exceed!) in support of their breast and ovarian cancer programs and services. I’m asking for your support in my running and fundraising efforts as I take on this challenge. Please consider requesting corporate matching for your gift as well.
