As you all know, last year I ran the NYC Marathon for the first time with Team Sharsheret. While I trained and worked hard to get myself ready for months leading up to the day, what I was not prepared for was the tremendous and lasting impact the experience would have on me. Running in honor of my dear friend, Liana, and being surrounded by the love and support of family, friends (and of course the NYC crowds!) truly propelled me toward the finish line. "Making my miles meaningful" with Team Sharsheret gave me an even greater sense of purpose and helped me connect to something that was so much bigger than myself. I am honored to be running again this year with Team Sharsheret- let's do this!
Sharsheret is a national not-for-profit organization supporting women and families, at high risk and those facing breast and ovarian cancer at every stage-before, during, and after diagnosis. The existence of Sharsheret is especially important in our community for the culturally relevant support they offer.
As a member of this incredible Team, I have pledged to raise funds in support of Sharsheret's breast cancer and ovarian cancer programs and services.
