Dear Friends and Family,

I am so excited to share that I am an official member of Team Sharsheret for the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon.

As many of you know, breast cancer hit my family personally in 2022 when my wife was diagnosed. Our world was instantly turned upside down. Suddenly we were meeting with our oncology team, juggling more doctor’s appointments than we could keep track of, and facing surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation, and countless decisions. With two young children at the time and so many appointments, there were moments when we simply felt overwhelmed and lost.

Thankfully, we were surrounded by incredible support. We had amazing friends and patients, an outstanding medical team at MGH, and the unwavering support of our family who helped guide us through this incredibly difficult time.

I have already begun training for the race, and I am inspired to take on this rigorous challenge in support of Sharsheret, a national non-profit organization that supports women and families facing breast and ovarian cancer, as well as those at increased genetic risk, at every stage before, during, and after diagnosis.

Running on behalf of Sharsheret is especially meaningful to me because breast cancer has had such a profound impact on my family and continues to be a part of our lives. Sharsheret was one of the only organizations providing the culturally relevant support that families like ours were seeking during such a difficult time.

As I continue to hear about the incredible resources Sharsheret provides to friends in our community and to thousands of women and families across the country, I kept asking myself: How can I do more? How can I make a difference? By taking on this personal challenge and joining Team Sharsheret, I believe I have found my answer.

As a member of this incredible team, I have pledged to raise funds (which I hope to greatly exceed!) in support of Sharsheret’s breast and ovarian cancer programs and services. I am asking for your support as I take on both the athletic challenge of the marathon and the fundraising effort that comes with it.
