hi teammate! thank you for supporting this important cause. I am completing this marathon and raising funds for Sharsheret, an organization that helps women and their families face breast cancer. My mother, Rosine, died of cancer in 2002. Rosine valued her Jewishness, womanhood, and community - which is why I chose Sharsheret.
I initially planned to complete the 2022 marathon in honor of Rosine's memory, as she had passed 20 years prior. I wanted to honor her memory by channeling her relentless spirit in my pursuit of completing such a challenge. I injured my knee training for last year's marathon but after diligently completing my PT and pre-hab and run training - I am good to go!
