Dear Friends and Family,
I am excited to share with you that I am an official member of Team Sharsheret for the 2021 TCS New York City Marathon! I only started running about a year ago (and have completed two half marathons so far) and am excited to take on this new challenge.
I am running this race in support of an amazing organization that has personal meaning to me - Sharsheret, a national not-for-profit organization supporting women and their families as they are facing breast and ovarian cancer.
For me this cause is very personal. My grandmother Julia Iunger OBM passed away in 1993 after a battle with ovarian cancer. She was an amazing woman whose warmth and caring touched everyone that she met.
Four year later my aunt Libby Kolb OBM passed away from breast cancer when she was only 37. She was full of energy and dedicated to great causes including building the Teaneck, NJ chapter of Emunah.
Although Sharsheret wasn't around for my grandmother and aunt it is here today for friends and family (names left out intentionally) who continue to fight battles with breast and ovarian cancer today,
I am asking you to please support me in my athletic and fundraising efforts as I take on this challenge, ask for corporate matching for your gift too! All contributions are tax-deductible.
