Dear Friends and Family,
I can't believe I'm doing this... but I signed up as an official member of Team Sharsheret for the 2023 TCS NYC Marathon. The way I've learned to push myself is to say 'yes' to things, however insurmountable they seem, and do my best to persevere and take on each challenge as it comes.
I've never been much of a runner, honestly. However, I am determined to work hard and put in the time to train, and have already started the process. I am inspired to keep going by all the strong women I am lucky enough to have in my life.
I chose to run on behalf of Sharsheret, a national not-for-profit organization supporting women and families at high risk and those facing breast and ovarian cancer at every stage -- before, during, and after diagnosis. It is particularly meaningful for me to race on behalf of Sharsheret because of the support they have provided for friends and family who were touched by breast cancer and ovarian cancer. Sharsheret is a wonderful organization that has touched the lives of so many for the better, and is a beautiful legacy for its founder, my aunt's sister, Rochelle Shoretz A"H.
As a member of this incredible team, I have pledged to raise funds in support of Sharsheret's breast cancer and ovarian cancer programs and services.
