Dear Friends and Family,
I am so excited to share with you that I will be running in the 2021 TCS New York City Marathon as an official member of Team Sharsheret!
I have already begun to train for the race. Over the past few months, I have competed in a 5k, 10k, 13k and two Half Marathons. I’m now looking forward to taking on my first marathon.
It is particularly meaningful for me to race on behalf of Sharsheret, a national nonprofit organization supporting women and their families as they face breast and ovarian cancer.
As a physician, I am privy to the struggles so many of my patients face as they battle their medical issues, and I pledge myself to do all that I can to help them receive the support they need. In my role running goDaven.com, I’m in constant touch with people doing all they can to increase prayers for health and healing. I am pleased to find another avenue, by racing for Sharsheret, to help those in need.
As a member of this team, I have pledged to raise funds in support of Sharsheret’s breast and ovarian cancer programs and services. I am asking you to please support me in my athletic and fundraising efforts as I take on this challenge. All contributions are tax-deductible.
