Dear Friends and Family,
I am so so so excited to share with you that I am an official member of Team Sharsheret for the 2024 United Airlines NYC Half.
I have already begun to train for my race, and am inspired to undertake this rigorous challenge as I am doing it in support of Sharsheret, a national not-for-profit organization supporting women and families, at high risk and those facing breast and ovarian cancer at every stage-before, during, and after diagnosis.
It is particularly meaningful for me to race on behalf of Sharsheret in honor of my best friend, Amy, who was diagnosed with breast cancer at 28-years-old, and just celebrated her 22nd year of being cancer free!! Sharsheret has been a wonderful support for her, and for so many other families. I am also running to honor other family and friends diagnosed with breast cancer, including my mother in law, Doreen, who thankfully is also cancer free.
An added bonus, my 22yo daughter, Hanna, and Amy, and I,“Team AHA,” will be running the 1/2 marathon together to raise $$$ for Sharsheret! ❤️
As a member of this incredible Team, I have pledged to raise funds (which I hope to greatly exceed!) in support of Sharsheret’s breast cancer and ovarian cancer programs and services.
