Dear Family and Friends,
I am so excited to share with you that I am an official member of Team Sharsharet for the 2024 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon. Sharsharet is a not-for-profit organization that provides support for individuals and families coping with breast or ovarian cancer, as well as supporting those at high risk for developing these cancers.
Every workday I encounter women who are at risk for, are dealing with, or are recovering from breast or ovarian cancer. The strength that I see in these women as they navigate through treatment and recovery, all while coping with the emotional journey that affects themselves and their families, is staggering. Further, it is empowering to see women with knowledge of a genetic predisposition to breast/ovarian cancer make the choice to actively prevent cancer.
Participating in the NYC half marathon is my way of acknowledging the good works that Sharsharet does every day for so many women, men and families. Thank you for your support!
