Dear Friends and Family, 

I am excited to share with you that I am running with Team Sharsheret in the 2025 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. 

Sharsheret is an incredible organization, a not-for-profit group supporting women (and their families) who are at high risk of- or battling- breast and ovarian cancer, at every stage of diagnosis. 

I was inspired to join the Team and support this great organization based on the support which I and my family received from Sharsheret during my own bout with breast cancer. I was impressed with their range of support services and felt comforted to know this helping agency was there for me and others facing similar diagnoses. Additionally, over the past several years, a few other members of our family have battled through their own bouts with (non-genetic) breast cancer. 

I wanted to find some way to “give back” to this amazing group; to help them support others and to help raise awareness about this form of cancer which has affected many members of our community, but for which greater awareness and testing can hopefully help to limit the risk to others.  

 As a member of this great Team, I have pledged to raise funds in support of Sharsheret's various programs and services. I am asking you to please support me in my athletic and fundraising efforts as I continue my training and look forward to my marathon run with the Sharsheret team. All contributions are tax-deductible.
