Growing up with a father battling cancer and other illnesses, I witnessed firsthand the profound impact disease has on families. His limitations fueled a silent promise within me. For over 800 days, I laced up my shoes, running not just for myself, but for him, carrying his dreams on my shoulders. Each step was a testament to his strength, a silent vow to never take my own health for granted.

Sadly, my father passed away in July 2020, leaving a void that feels insurmountable most days. Cancer became more than just a childhood experience; it became a responsibility. Witnessing the challenges faced by families navigating this disease left an indelible mark on my life.

That's why I'm running the marathon for Sharsheret, a remarkable organization dedicated to supporting Jewish women and families facing breast and ovarian cancer. Sharsheret's mission resonates deeply with me, providing not just medical resources but also the emotional and communal support so crucial during difficult times.
