Dear Friends and Family,
I’m so excited to be a member of Team Sharsheret for the 2023 TCS New York Marathon on November 5th.
Over the past several months I've run hundreds of miles training for my first marathon in more than a decade, and what makes it particularly special is that I’m doing it in support of Sharsheret, a national not-for-profit organization in which my family has been involved since its inception, supporting women and families at high risk, and those facing breast and ovarian cancer at every stage – before, during and after diagnosis.
It is particularly meaningful to me to race on behalf of Sharsheret because virtually every woman in my family has been touched by breast cancer. My Mom, herself a cancer survivor, was a founding Board Member of Sharsheret, and she and her colleagues had a vision to form the only organization that provided the vital culturally relevant support they were desperately seeking. I know first-hand the wonderful resource Sharsheret is for many friends and thousands of others locally and nationally. Joining with the other members of Team Sharsheret allows me to help provide resources and make a difference.
As a member of the incredible Team, I have pledged to raise funds in support of Sharsheret’s breast cancer and ovarian cancer programs and services. I’m asking you to please support me in my athletic and fundraising efforts as I take on this challenge. All contributions are tax-deductible.
