Hanna's 2024 half marathon

Dear Friends and Family,

I am so excited to share with you that I will be running the 2024 United Airlines NYC half marathon again as an official member of Team Sharsheret. After running the NYC half marathon last year, I knew I immediately would want to run it again. Although, it wasn't just about running the race, it was much bigger than that. After the race last year I didn't even think twice, when I immediately reached out to run as apart of Team Sharsheret again.

Sharsheret is a national not-for-profit organization supporting women and families, at high risk and those facing breast and ovarian cancer at every stage-before, during, and after diagnosis. It is very meaningful for me to race on behalf of Sharsheret again. You may wonder why that is? It's because of the support they  provide for many who are touched by breast cancer. It's also because I will be running in celebration of my favorite people who are both breast cancer survivors, my grandmother, Gobbie, and my “second mom” Amy Tadelis.

As I continually hear about the wonderful resource Sharsheret is for many friends and thousands of others locally and nationally, I wonder how I could do more. How can make a difference? I chose to take on this very meaningful personal challenge and joining with the other members of Team Sharsheret I have found my answer.

After I ran my first half last year as apart of their team it was truly special, that's where I found my answer. After the 2023 half, I took on my first marathon this past Fall, after that I knew I had to be determined to take on the challenge of the NYC half again, and had no choice but to run the half again for Sharsheret, and I'm extremely grateful that I'm able to. 

As a member of this amazing Team, I have pledged to raise funds (which I hope to exceed again!) in support of Sharsheret's breast cancer and ovarian cancer programs and services. I am asking you if you could please support me in my athletic and fundraising efforts as I take on this challenge! Thank you all so much, in advance, for your support!
