Jenna Runs a Marathon

Dear friends, family, coworkers, run clubbers, and my Jew-ish Eastern European community,

I am so excited running my very first marathon in my home city with Team Sharsheret for the 2025 Bank of America Chicago Marathon!

It is an honor to run in support of of Sharsheret, an international Jewish non-profit organization supporting women and families at high risk as well as those facing breast and ovarian cancer at every stage-before, during, and after diagnosis.

When signing up for my first marathon, I knew I wanted to run with a charity that resonated with me. As the child of Jewish refugees from Ukraine, the granddaughter of a breast cancer survivor, and the sister and cousin of young moms, Sharsheret's mission feels incredibly personal.

I'm so grateful to be a part of this inspiring team of runners raising money to help Sharsheret continue to make an impact locally and internationally with its breast and ovarian cancer programs and services. As a member of Team Sharsheret, I have pledged to raise money to further their efforts and am asking you to please support an incredible cause as I run in memory of my grandmother Elena. Any and all fundraising and athletic support means the world to me. All contributions are tax-deductible, and may be eligible for a corporate match.

I've been nervously putting off signing up for my first marathon, but given the waterworks that start every time I watch a marathon and finding Sharsheret, I know it's time. Let's do this!
