My name is Jordan Bitton and I am becoming a Bar Mitzvah on October 30th, 2021! For my Bar Mitzvah project, I am running a Busy Box collection drive for children whose moms have Cancer. I partnered with Sharsheret to do my Bar Mitzvah project because Cancer has affected my family and while I am grateful for the health and strength of the survivors, I honor the memories of those who have suffered. I chose this project because I want to help make a child happier while their mom is resting or getting treatment by giving them a box of fun toys. Sharsheret means chain. My interpretation of this is that we should help each other out and stay connected as a people. In addition to collecting toys at my school and from an Amazon Wishlist I've set up, I have a fundraising page to help me buy more toys so that I can achieve my goal of 100 Busy Boxes. Thank you for helping me with my Bar Mitzvah project so that other kids my age and younger can have fun during a difficult time in their lives.
