Dear Friends and Family,

I am so excited to share with you that I am an official member of Team Sharsheret for the 2024 Chicago Marathon! Sharsheret is a national not-for-profit organization that supports women and families afflicted by breast and ovarian cancer through counseling, education, and financial subsidies.

Jewish women have a higher risk for familial breast cancer than non-Jewish women and are more likely to carry mutations in breast and ovarian cancer genes such as BRCA1. This organization is particularly meaningful to me as my grandmother, Raisa Karan, passed away from breast cancer. I am running this race in her honor, however, I cannot do so without your support.

I have pledged to raise $2500 in support of Sharsheret's breast cancer and ovarian cancer programs and services. Please consider supporting Sharsharet and me in my athletic and fundraising efforts as I take on this challenge.
