Dear Friends and Family,
I am thrilled (and truthfully still in slight disbelief!) to share I will be running the 2024 NYC Marathon with Team Sharsheret!
I have already began to train for my race, and am inspired to undertake this challenge in support of Sharsheret, a national not-for-profit organization supporting women and families, at high risk and those facing breast and ovarian cancer at every stage-before, during, and after diagnosis.
It is particularly meaningful for me to race on behalf of Sharsheret because of the support they have provided for people I know who were touched by breast cancer and ovarian cancer. I also know first hand how important this type of support is for a patient and their family after going through my father's experience with cancer when I was a child.
As a member of this incredible Team, I have pledged to raise funds (which I hope to greatly exceed!) in support of Sharsheret's breast cancer and ovarian cancer programs and services. I am asking you to please support me in my athletic and fundraising efforts as I take on this challenge. All contributions are tax-deductible.
