Dear Friends and Family ,
I am so excited to share with you that I am running the Columbus Marathon 2024 in support of Sharsheret.
I have already began to train for my race, and am inspired to undertake this rigorous challenge as I am doing it in support of Sharsheret , a national not-for-profit organization supporting women and families, at high risk and those facing breast and ovarian cancer at every stage-before, during, and after diagnosis.
It is particularly meaningful for me to race on behalf of Sharsheret because of the support they have provided for family who were touched by breast cancer.
I am running in honor of my sister-in-law Lucy Abrams who was diagnosed with breast cancer in Summer 2023 and is now in remission. As hard as training for this race is, it is nothing compared to what Lucy has had to go through over the last 12 months.
I wanted to support an organization that may be under the radar but provides a vital service to families going through the fight against cancer. Sharsheret is a wonderful resource and I encourage those who have read this far to please help with my pledge to raise funds in support of Sharsheret's breast cancer and ovarian cancer programs and services.
I will challenge myself to run these 26.2 miles so I'm just challenging you to click the donate button and do what you can. Anything helps and always remember to ask for corporate matching for your gift too! All contributions are tax-deductible.
