Body image and appearance-related concerns are highly prevalent among cancer survivors. This webinar is designed to increase your skills and confidence in navigating body image changes during cancer care. We will discuss practical tips to help you cope with upcoming and recent body changes, as well as strategies for promoting greater long-term body image acceptance. Particular attention will be given to addressing important considerations for managing hair loss and coping with scars. Led by professionals across the fields of clinical psychology and medical aesthetics, we will cover the following topics in this program:
- Treatment strategies to enhance coping skills and management of difficult emotions surrounding body image changes
- Considerations for cold capping, wig selection, wig alternatives, and managing effects of hair loss
