Join Sharsheret for an engaging discussion exploring the halachic (Jewish law) connections with genetic cancer screening. We will hear important information from medical experts about the increased risk within the Jewish community and learn what the Torah and rabbis teach us about being proactive about our health. This program is the first in a series of three Orange County Jewish Cancer Education Initiative events generously supported by a City of Hope Kindness Grant. Speakers include: Dr. Joshua Cohen, Medical Director, O.C. Gynecologic Cancer Program; Rabbi Dr. Jason Weiner, BCC, Sr. Rabbi & Director, Spiritual Care Department, Cedars-Sinai, and Christina Rybak, MS, CGC, Licensed Genetic Counselor, City of Hope Orange County. This is the first in a series of 3 educational programs geared toward the Orange County, CA community thanks to a City of Hope Kindness Grant.
