Breast cancer has touched the lives of people I love, including family members and close friends who have faced the disease with incredible courage and strength. Watching their journeys gave me a deep appreciation for the resilience required to navigate a diagnosis and the importance of having a strong support system along the way. I am running this marathon in their honor and in recognition of everyone who has battled breast cancer.
As someone who is deeply connected to the Jewish community, Sharsheret’s mission is especially meaningful to me. Their work ensures that individuals and families facing breast cancer have access to guidance, resources, and a community that understands what they are going through. The support they provide reflects values that are important to me: showing up for one another, offering compassion, and helping people through life's most difficult moments.
Running has always been a source of challenge, purpose, and joy in my life. This marathon gives me the opportunity to combine that passion with a cause that is incredibly close to my heart. Every mile I run is dedicated to the loved ones who have inspired me with their strength.
